Press Releases

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Woodland Warren James, 63, of Quantico Maryland for burglary 4th degree.  The arrest stemmed from a burglary investigation at 11502 Beckford Avenue.  James was charged with burglary 4th degree and seen by a District Court Commissioner who released James on personal recognizance. 

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle pulling a camping trailer was stopped on Route 13 near Mt. Vernon Road for stopped traffic; another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the camping trailer.  The crash caused significant damage and minor injuries were reported.

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12089 College Place in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the late evening hours of 8-16-14 and the early morning hours of 8-17-14, the suspect(s) stole two bicycles that were in the front yard area.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred at 30431 Spruce Street.  Investigation revealed that an argument between two subjects turned into an assault.  Both parties were identified and referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 8-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Logan Lee Snyder, 35, of Princess Anne Maryland with being involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  The charges stemmed from a pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred on 8-12-14 in the area of 11887 Somerset Avenue.  Snyder was issued several traffic citations in regards to the incident and was released from custody upon being issued the citations. 

On 8-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11491 Beckford Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 8-12-14 and   8-13-14, the suspect(s) stole a push lawnmower from the property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Andre Demetris Dennis, 39, of Princess Anne Maryland with trespassing, solicitation, and failure to obey a lawful order.  The charges stemmed from a panhandling complaint at the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road.  Dennis was released from custody upon being issued criminal citations.

On 8-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Trevon Isaiah Darden, 17, of Princess Anne Maryland and Dewayne Larnell Horsey, 16, of Salisbury Maryland for armed robbery.  The arrests stemmed from an armed robbery investigation at the Price Cutters store located at 11714 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that Darden and Horsey used a knife in the robbery and were able leave the store with an undisclosed amount of currency and products.  The store did not have any customers at the time of the robbery and the store clerk received minor injuries during the robbery.  Both Darden and Horsey were charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault 1st and 2nd degree, and theft less than $1,000.00.  Darden and Horsey were charged as adults and were seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued $50,000.00 bond on both subjects.  Darden and Horsey were released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.  

On 8-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Malinda Sue Griffith, 27, of Glen Burnie Maryland with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The charge stemmed from an incident that occurred at the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road.  Griffith was released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation.

On 8-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11508 Beckford Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the evening hours of 8-8-14 and early morning hours of 8-9-14, the suspect(s) removed the victim’s wallet from a parked and unlocked vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Londale Richard Anderson, 23, of Delmar Maryland with disorderly conduct.  The charge stemmed from a large party complaint in the Talons Square South apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Anderson was released upon being issued a criminal citation. 

On 8-7-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Office Complex, located at 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as the suspect was leaving the front parking lot; it collided with a parked vehicle.  The suspect has been identified and the incident remains under investigation.

On 8-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Robert Lee Taylor, 53, of Princess Anne with two District Court Bench Warrants.  Taylor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Taylor on personal recognizance.

On 8-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road for a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was traveling south on Route 13 near Mt. Vernon Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided into a ditch on the north bound side of Route 13.  The crash resulted in significant damage and minor injuries were reported.  The driver of the vehicle, Amy Christine Waidner, 43, of Eden Maryland was found to be driving on a suspended license was issued a traffic citation.
 

On 8-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Seton Center, located at 30632 Hampden Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was backing in the parking lot area, it collided with another vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 8-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot and was unattended when the suspect collided into the victim’s vehicle.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 8-1-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Andre Demetris Dennis, 39, of Princess Anne Maryland for trespassing and failure to obey a lawful order.  The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred at the Royal Farms Store located at 30452 Mt. Press Releases

On 7/28/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred at 30733 Antioch Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by a known acquaintance during an argument.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 7/27/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Dollar General Store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that two subjects became involved in an argument over an incident that occurred a few days earlier which turned into one of the subjects being assaulted.  The incident remains under investigation.  

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tyasia Deschelle Tyre, 18, of Berlin Maryland and a 17 year old juvenile of Pocomoke Maryland for assault 2nd degree.  The arrests stemmed from assisting UMES Police Department with a large crowd on campus.  Tyre and the juvenile were observed being involved in a fight and they were charged with assault 2nd degree, disorderly conduct, and affray.   Tyre was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued an unsecured $10,000.00 bond.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian. 

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the University Park Apartments located on Wink Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space it collided with another vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30565 Pine Knoll Drive in reference to a burglary.  Investigation revealed that three juveniles were seen inside the vacant apartment.  The juveniles were located and identified.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Beechwood Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by three suspects.  The suspects were later located and identified.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 7/23/14 the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of a burglary / theft at an apartment located in the Princess Anne Townhouses on Pine Knoll Drive.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the early evening hours of 7/20/14, the suspect(s) entered the apartment and stole property from the apartment.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/23/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 11635 Beechwood Street.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole the victim’s bicycle sometime during the late evening hours of 7/18/14 and early morning hours of 7/19/14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/22/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30521 William P. Hytche Boulevard in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that two subjects had an argument which caused the suspect to damage property of the apartment.  The suspect was located and identified and charges are pending.

PAPD Press Releases:
On 7/20/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 14 year old juvenile, of Salisbury Maryland for theft less than $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at Dollar General which is located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian.

On 7/19/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mccormick Swamp Road at Park Drive in reference to reports of shots fired.  Officers were able to recover evidence that indicated the suspect(s) did fire shots in the area.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/19/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Antioch Avenue Extended in reference to a report of a fight.  Investigation revealed that an assault had occurred and the officers were able to locate and interview the parties involved.  The victim in the matter was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.


On 7/18/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset Commons Apartment Complex located on Somerset Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 7/11/14 and 7/17/14, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the apartment complex.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/18/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tina Latasha Taylor, 31, of Princess Anne Maryland for violation of an ex-parte / protection order.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance at 11796 Beechwood Street.  Taylor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who was held on $5,000.00 bond.  Taylor was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.




On 7/17/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11632 Foxwell Lane in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 7/16/14 and 7/17/14, the suspect(s) stole a bicycle from the victim’s property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/17/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Mateesha Esdella Jones, 32, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant.  Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Jones on an unsecured $1,500.00 bond.

On 7/16/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Dollar General Store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect removed property from the store and left without paying for the property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/14/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Dennis Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) had caused damage to the curbing along Dennis Drive.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/13/14 the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Rashi Ammond Washington, 42, of Salisbury Maryland for driving on a suspended license.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Washington was found to be the operator.  Washington was issued traffic citations and released from custody.

On 7/11/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Shawn Tony Tilghman, 20, of Crisfield Maryland and a 14 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from an investigation in the area of Pine Street.  Tilghman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.  Tilghman was released from custody after being issued citations.  The 14 year old juvenile was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian.

On 7/11/14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Alexander Dettmer Kremer, 19, of Princess Anne Maryland, Kyle Shaw Simpkins, 19, of Princess Anne Maryland, a 16 year old juvenile of Westover Maryland, and 16 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland, and a 16 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland with possession of alcohol being under the age of 21.  The charges stemmed from an investigation near 12034 Somerset Avenue.  Kremer and Simpkins were released from custody upon being issued citations.  The two 16 year old juveniles were released into the custody of their guardians. 

On 7/10/14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Zoe Lee Benton, 24, of Chance Maryland with driving on a suspended driver’s license.  The charges stemmed from a single vehicle crash investigation that occurred in the area of Somerset Avenue and Harvey Russell Road.  Benton was released from custody upon being issued her citations.

On 7/10/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tyrell Ketrae Harris, 18, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance at 11601 Rutgers Street.  Harris was charged with second degree assault and was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 unsecure bond. 

On 7/8/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 13 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for burglary and trespassing.  The arrest stemmed from a burglary investigation at 30551 Pine Knoll Drive.  The juvenile was charged with burglary 4th degree and trespassing and was released into the custody of a guardian.

Press Releases

On 7/4/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dashon Kyree Drummond, 22, of Berlin Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Drummond was found to be the operator.  Drummond was issued several traffic citations including driving under the influence of alcohol and was also issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. 

On 7/5/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Civic Center, located at 11828 Crisfield Lane in reference to a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that a fight had occurred during a birthday party that was occurring at the Civic Center.  Officers also located evidence that gun shots were fired during the fight.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/4/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Darrin Trimell Gibbs, 18, of Berlin Maryland for an outstanding warrant out of the State of Delaware.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Gibbs was found to be a passenger.  Gibbs was charged on a fugitive warrant and seen by a District Court Commissioner who committed Gibbs on no bond.  Gibbs was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 12062 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole property from the residence between 6/24/14 and 7/2/14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling in the parking lot, it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Somerset Avenue and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was stopped on Somerset Avenue for the construction work zone, another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the stopped vehicle.  The crash resulted in no damage and no injuries were reported. 

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of a theft that occurred at the Royal Farms Store located on Mt. Vernon Road.  Investigation revealed that the victim had lost his wallet earlier in the day and the suspect(s) used a credit card belonging to the victim at the Royal Farms store.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/2/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11743 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft of a bicycle.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole a pink in color 24” girl’s mountain bicycle from the victim’s property.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 7/1/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Community Store parking lot, located at 11404 Beckford Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a garbage disposal truck was backing, it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 6/30/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Stevie Lamont Jackson, 47, of Salisbury Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Jackson was found to be the operator.  Jackson was charged with traffic violations including driving under the influence of alcohol along with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault second degree, failure to obey a lawful order, and malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00.  Jackson was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $7,500.00 bond.  Jackson was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.


On 6/30/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Route 13 in the area of Linden Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was traveling on Route 13, the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran into the grass median causing the vehicle to overturn.  The crash resulted in significant damage and several injuries were reported.  The crash remains under investigation.

Press Releases


On 3-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Talons Square South apartment complex located at 30515 UMES Boulevard in reference to a burglary after the fact.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 3-14-14 and 3-23-14, the suspect(s) entered an apartment and stole various items from one of the bedrooms.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a subject who was threatening persons with a knife.  Investigation revealed that the suspect did threaten other customers harm with a knife and two knives were located on the suspect’s person.  The suspect was transported to PRMC on an emergency petition and released into PRMC’s custody.  Charges are pending on the suspect at this time.

On 3-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30677 Antioch Avenue Extended in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument between girlfriend and boyfriend turned into a physical altercation.  One party had left the scene prior to police arrival and the incident remains under investigation.

On 3-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report in reference to fraud.  Investigation revealed that the victim had discovered that the suspect(s) had used her social security number and filed several tax returns that were not the victims.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Rachel Abigail Cornell, 29, of Princess Anne Maryland with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft complaint at the Rite Aid store located at 12154 Brittingham Lane.  Cornell was released from the scene upon signing for her criminal citation.

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of College Place and Valentine Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a school bus was backing it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash caused minor damage to the parked vehicle and no injuries were reported. 

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mt. Vernon Road in front of Dollar General in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling along Mt. Vernon Road, the driver became distracted and ran off the roadway and into a ditch.  The crash resulted in no damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the TLC Medical Center parking lot, located at 12145 Elm Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.   

On 3-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30441 Oak Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument between two subjects turned into an assault.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 3-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and UMES Boulevard in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling north on Route 13 at UMES Boulevard it had to pass a stopped vehicle on the left side and as it passed the stopped vehicle, the stopped vehicle turned into the passing vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Donald Eugene Moore Jr., 54, of Princess Anne Maryland with consuming alcohol in public.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Moore Jr. consuming an alcoholic beverage on Somerset Avenue near William P. Hytche Boulevard.  Moore Jr. was released from the scene upon signing for his criminal citation.

On 3-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the North Somerset Laundromat, located at 12093 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim had left his clothes unattended for a period of time and during that time the suspect(s) stole two pairs of pants.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30424 Plantation Drive in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) damaged a window to the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30436 Plantation Drive in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11691 Beechwood Street in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that as the victim was traveling on Beechwood Street in the area of Washington Street, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle by throwing a rock at the vehicle.  The incident remains under investigation.

Press Releases


On 3-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Andre Lashawn Andrews, 31, of Salisbury Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint of an intoxicated driver in the area of Somerset Avenue and William P. Hytche Boulevard.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle and identified Andrews as the operator.  Andrews was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related citations.  Andrews was released from custody upon signing for his citations.

On 3-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Goose Creek, located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that as the suspects were inside the store, they were observed removing various items from the store without paying for them.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tavares Obrien Dennis, 20, of Princess Anne Maryland in regards to an outstanding arrest warrant from the State of Delaware.  Dennis was charged on a fugitive warrant and seen by a District Court Commissioner who held Dennis on no bond.   Dennis was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center. 

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Goose Creek parking lot located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of 11675 Beechwood Street in reference to a fight in progress.  Investigation revealed that several juveniles were involved in an altercation with an adult male.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12178 Queens Grant Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that between the evening hours of 2-28-14 and the evening hours of 3-3-14, the suspect(s) had damaged the victim’s vehicle that was parked near 12178 Queens Grant Drive.  Incident remains under investigation.

Press Releases


On 3-3-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Carol Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling north on Carol Lane, it failed to negotiate a sharp curve and collided with another vehicle traveling south on Carol Lane.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-2-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11779 Somerset Avenue for a burglary.  Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the victim’s apartment without permission while the victim was away.  The victim has been referred to the District Court Commissioners office for charges.

 On 3-1-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Joel Thomas Collins, 47, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault 2nd degree.  The incident stemmed from an assault complaint at 11675 Beechwood Street.  Collins was charged with assault second degree, malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00, and theft less than $100.00.  Collins was seen by a District Court Commissioner who initially issued a temporary commitment where Collins was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.  Collins was later seen by the District Court Commissioner on 3-2-14, who then released Collins on personal recognizance.

On 2-28-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Kerri Eugenia Vaughn, 49, of Princess Anne Maryland for disorderly conduct.  The arrest stemmed from a report of an intoxicated subject in the roadway on West Post Office Road near Hampden Avenue.  Vaughn was issued criminal citations and released from custody upon her signature of the citations.

On 2-28-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that two subjects became involved in an argument inside the store and after the subjects exited the store, one of the subjects was assaulted.  Both parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 2-25-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Darone Lee Burton, 37, of Princess Anne Maryland for an outstanding District Court arrest warrant.  The arrest warrant charged Burton with harassment, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace from an incident that occurred on 2-24-14 at Valentine Drive.  Burton was seen by a District Court Commissioner who held Burton on a $10,000.00 bond.  Burton was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 2-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Don Manuel Hanna, 55, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The incident stemmed from an assault complaint at 11730 Beckford Avenue.  Hanna was charged with assault second degree and seen by a District Court Commissioner who held Hanna on $25,000.00 bond.  Hanna was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 2-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Margaret Ann Aye with a District Court criminal summons for theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft that occurred on 2-12-14.

On 2-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Mcdonalds parking lot located at 12112 Brittingham Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another vehicle traveling in the parking lot.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

 
On 2-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Bedford Carroll Powell, 61, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a tip being called in about a possible intoxicated driver leaving the Stop and Shop store located on Somerset Avenue.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle and stopped the vehicle after observing traffic violations.  Powell was found to be the operator and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Powell was also charged with other traffic violations including driving on a suspended and revoked license.  Powell was released from custody upon signing for his citations.

On 2-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Nwokedi Ikedichukwu Onyima, 18, of Upper Marlboro Maryland and Dexter Shaquille Sandy, 18, of Upper Marlboro Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from officers observing subjects inside a vehicle possessing a controlled dangerous substance while dispersing a large crowd at the Talons Square South apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Both Onyima and Sandy were in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Both Onyima and Sandy were released from custody after being issued criminal citations.

On 2-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Malcom Enyinnayau Anomnachi, 21, of Princess Anne Maryland with disturbing the peace.  The charges stemmed from a large party complaint in the Talons Square South apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Anomnachi was released from the scene after being issued a criminal citation.

On 2-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Family Dollar parking lot located at 12175 Elm Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 2-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Raphael Clifford Mbachu, 21, of Lanham Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Mbachu was found to be the operator of the vehicle and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Mbachu was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation.

On 2-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to JND Landscaping located at 30469 UMES Boulevard in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a trailer and a van during the overnight hours of 2-21-14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 2-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30525 Pecan Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a vehicle sometime between the afternoon hours of 2-21-14 and the morning hours of 2-22-14.

On 2-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Porsha Simone Harvey, 21, of Newark Delaware, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from Harvey having the controlled dangerous substance on her person when she entered the District Court security scanners.  Harvey was released from custody upon signing her criminal citation.  

On 2-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Robert AndersonNeblett, 23, of Temple Hills Maryland, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Neblett was found to be a passenger of the vehicle and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Neblett was releases from custody upon signing for his criminal citation.

On 2-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Ibrahim MoroaiKamara, 20, of Princess Anne Maryland with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from Kamara being observed by an undercover police officer remove an item from the Royal Farms Store and leave without paying for the item.  Kamara was issued  a criminal citation and released from custody.

On 2-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Terry Larue Cheeks, 22, of Princess Anne Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The charge stemmed from a traffic stop where Cheeks was found to be the driver and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Cheeks was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Cheeks was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Cheeks on personal recognizance.  

On 2-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Princess Anne Mini-Storage lot located at 12088 Somerset Avenue in reference to a dispute.  Investigation revealed that the dispute was over property being stored in one of the units.  One of the parties advised they were assaulted by the other party.  Both parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.


On 2-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Jasmin Reneva Tyson, 23, of Princess Anne Maryland for theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from Tyson being observed by an undercover police officer removing items from the Royal Farms Store and leave without paying for the items.  Tyson was also found to have a controlled dangerous substance on her person after being arrested.  Tyson was released from custody after signing for her criminal citations.


On 2-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Dominique Te’QuanElliott, 22, of Garden City, Georgia with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from Elliott being observed by an undercover police officer removing items from the Royal Farms Store and leaving without paying for the items.  Elliott was released from the scene upon signing for his criminal citation.

On 2-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dominick Andre Corbin, 37, of Princess Anne Maryland for theft less than $100.00 and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from Corbin being observed by an undercover police officer removing items from the Royal Farms Store and leaving without paying for the items.  Corbin was also found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances after being arrested for the theft.  Corbin was charged with theft less than $100.00, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Corbin was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued $10,000.00 bond.  Corbin was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 2-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Robert Elridge Maddox, 32, of Marion Station Maryland for driving on a suspended license.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Maddox was found to be the operator.  A license and wanted check revealed that Maddox driving privilege in Maryland was both suspended and revoked along with having two active warrants through the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department. Maddox was issued traffic citations and then released into the custody of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department.


On 2-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the North Somerset Laundromat located at 12093 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect removed the victim’s cell phone while the victim was doing laundry at the Laundromat.  The suspect is known and the victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 2-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Elm Street and Mt. Vernon Road for a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was stopped for a stop sign on Elm Street at Mt. Vernon Road, another vehicle clipped the stopped vehicle as it was turning onto Elm Street from Mt. Vernon Road.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 2-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the BB&T Bank located at 12136 Elm Street in reference to a robbery.  Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from one of the tellers.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 2-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Ernest Richard Stevens, III, 42, of Princess Anne Maryland with two outstanding District Court Arrest Warrants.  The warrants charged Stevens III with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, assault first degree, assault second degree, dangerous weapon-intent to injure, and reckless endangerment.  The warrants stemmed from an attempted murder investigation that occurred on 2-7-14 on Antioch Avenue Extended.  Stevens III was seen by a District Court Commissioner who held Stevens III on no bond.  Stevens III was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 2-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of EdgehillTerrace near the Goose Creek Store in reference to a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was turning into the Goose Creek parking lot fromEdgehill Terrace, another vehicle began to pass the turning vehicle on the right side causing the turning vehicle to strike the passing vehicle.  The crash resulted in significant damage; however, no injuries were reported.


On 2-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of a theft of a credit card that occurred on 2-7-14 at the Somerset Commons apartment complex located at 12364 Somerset Avenue.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 2-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Somerset Avenue in the area of the Post Office in reference to a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was parking along Somerset Avenue across from the Post Office, it struck another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 2-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Dollar General, located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a theft after the fact.  Investigation revealed that the initial theft occurred on 2-3-14; however, the suspect was observed in the store which alerted the store employees to call the police.  The suspect was identified and the store employees were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 2-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Durrell Antonio Croswell, 32, of Princess Anne Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Croswell was found to be the operator and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Croswell was charged with several traffic violations along with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Croswell was released from custody upon signing for his traffic and criminal citations.

On 2-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Dollar General located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was pulling into the parking lot, it ran over the front curbing and collided with the shopping cart rack.  The crash resulted in damage to the shopping cart rack and minor damage to the vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

On 2-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Bashiru Akinola Balogun, 40, of Princess Anne Maryland with trespassing.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Balogun in the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt Vernon Road, after being warned not to return to the store in January of 2014.  Balogun was released from the scene after signing for his criminal citation.

On 2-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Terra Leora Hunter, 41, of Princess Anne Maryland with allowing dogs to run at large without proper supervision.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Hunter’s dogs running loose in the area of Manokin Park on 2-2-14.  Hunter was issued a criminal citation and signed for it.

On 2-3-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Demetris Tyron Richardson, 34, of Princess Anne Maryland with possession of an open container of alcohol.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Richardson in the Manokin Park with an open container of alcohol.  Richardson was released from the scene after signing for his criminal citation.

On 1-30-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served William Joseph Dubrel, 23, of Deal Island MD with a District Court Criminal Summons for having a handgun in a vehicle.  The summons was issued for an incident that occurred on 12-6-13.

On 1-26-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Mt. Vernon road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was stopped on Mt. Vernon Road at Somerset Avenue; another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the stopped vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 1-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and Mt Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle failed to stop for a red traffic signal on Route 13 at Mt. Vernon Road and struck the rear of a stopped vehicle which caused that vehicle to collide into another stopped vehicle.  The crash resulted in significant damage and injuries were reported.  The at fault party was issued traffic citations.

On 1-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of 29980 St James Way in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a driveway, it collided with a vehicle that was parked on St James Way.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 1-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dwayne Erwin Shark 2nd, 19, of Capitol Heights Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Shark 2nd was found to be the operator.  Shark 2nd was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.  Shark 2nd was released from custody upon signing his criminal citations.

On 1-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Goose Creek, located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with a vehicle that was parked at a gas pump.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 1-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Ramonte St Clair Jones, 24, of Princess Anne Maryland with driving on a suspended / revoked license.  The charges stemmed from a traffic stop where Jones was found to be the operator.  Jones was released upon signing for his traffic citations.

On 1-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Whitney Shalaurie Jones, 28, of Salisbury Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant.  The arrest stemmed from an investigation located in the area of Route 13 and Linden Avenue.  Jones was also issued a criminal citation for providing a false name.  Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner in regards to the bench warrant and Jones was held on the preset $20,000.00 bond.  Jones was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 1-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Coin Op Laundromat located at 12085 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) removed two washing machines that were being stored outside in the rear area of the building.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Thomas James Seymore Jr., 44, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding warrant through Kent County Maryland.  Seymore Jr. was released into the custody of the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

On 1-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Somerset Avenue and Washington Street in reference to a theft of a motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Bruce Edward Harris, 53, of Princess Anne Maryland with a District court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged Harris with theft less than $1,000.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft investigation at Royal Farms located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road that occurred on 12-22-13. 

On 1-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Mt. Vernon Road in the area of Dollar General in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was turning left into the Dollar General parking lot, it collided with another vehicle traveling east on Mt. Vernon Road.  The crash resulted in significant damage and minor injuries were reported.

On 1-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Alfreda Beulah Corbin, 51, of Princess Anne Maryland with theft under $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft complaint at Food Lion located at 12158 Brittingham Lane.  Corbin was released from custody after signing for her criminal citation.

On 1-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Brian Lamont Waters, 44, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.  Waters was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Waters on personal recognizance.

On 1-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed property from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Royal Farms, located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged the Redbox kiosk located at the front of the store.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Jackson Philip Ford, 23, of Princess Anne Maryland with a District Court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged Ford with obstruction and hindering and false statement from an incident that occurred on 11-19-13.  

On 1-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Food Lion, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged the Pepsi and Coca-Cola vending machines.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 1-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Office Complex located at 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) broke into two vehicles which were parked in the parking lot for basketball games and removed property from the vehicles.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Derek Anthony Whittington, 36, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault.  The arrest stemmed from a disturbance at 11513 Beckford Avenue.  Whittington was charged with second degree assault and malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00.  Whittington was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 bond.  Whittington was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 1-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Brett Wayne Fratianni, 53, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a citizen’s complaint and the officer observed the driver of the vehicle commit a traffic violation.  The vehicle was stopped and Fratianni was identified as the driver.  Fratianni was charged with DUI charges along with driving on a revoked and suspended license.  Fratianni was released from custody after signing for his citations.

On 1-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and UMES Blvd in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed  that as a vehicle was crossing over north bound traffic on Route 13 to UMES Blvd, it failed to yield the right away to north bound traffic causing the collision.  The crash resulted in significant damage and injuries were reported.

On 1-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the rear parking lot of Price Cutters, located at 11714 Somerset Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a window to a vehicle which was parked in the parking lot.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of 11537 Beckford Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was parked in the area, the suspect(s) damaged two tires to the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 1-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Remar Lamond Waters, 25, of Princess Anne Maryland with a District Court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged Waters with cds possession marijuana and cds possession not marijuana. 

On 1-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was turning left onto Mt. Vernon Road from north bound Route 13, it failed to stop for a red traffic signal and collided with another vehicle traveling south on Route 13.  The crash resulted in significant damage and minor injuries were reported.  

On 1-7-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested an eleven year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for burglary and theft.  The arrest stemmed from a burglary complaint at 11895 Somerset Avenue where the investigation resulted in the arrest of the juvenile.  The juvenile was charged with burglary and theft.  The juvenile was released into the custody of his mother and the case has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.

On 1-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Cynthia Michelle Patterson, 41, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant.  Patterson was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Patterson on personal recognizance.

On 1-6-14, the Princess Anne Police arrested Monique Renee Windsor, 22, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant out of Wicomico County.  Windsor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Windsor on personal recognizance.

On 1-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Linden Avenue near Somerset Avenue for a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling west on Linden Avenue near Somerset Avenue, it hit a patch of ice and traveled off of the roadway and crashed into the rear property of 30567 Linden Avenue.  There crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 12-30-13, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Solange Sactor Nzeseh, 23, of Adelphi Maryland for an outstanding District Court bench warrant out of Prince George’s County.  Nzeseh was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Nzeseh on $3,000.00 unsecure bond.

On 12-28-13, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Tourism Center located at 11440 Ocean Highway in reference to a vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle left the roadway area and collided with a sign.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 12-28-13, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11627 Foxwell Lane in reference to a burglary.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) entered the residence between the dates of 12-26-13 and 12-28-13 and removed property from the residence.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 12-27-13, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Lorenzo Davis, 46, of Easton Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest was the result of a traffic stop where Davis was found to be the operator.  Davis was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended and revoked license.  Davis was released from custody upon signing for his citations.

On 12-26-13, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 17 year old juvenile and a 16 year old juvenile, both of Princess Anne Maryland for burglary.  The arrests stemmed from a burglary complaint on Antioch Avenue.  The juveniles were charged with burglary first degree, trespassing, and malicious destruction of property under $100.00.  The 17 year old juvenile was released into the custody of his mother and the 16 year old juvenile was released into the custody of the Department of Juvenile Services.

On 12-26-13, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Brett Christopher Corbett, 39, of Pinellas Park Florida with indecent exposure.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Corbett urinating in public in the area of Mt. Vernon Road.  Corbett was released from custody after signing for his citation.

On 12-25-13, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Black Duck Lane in reference to an assault that occurred at the Somerset County Civic Center located at 11828 Crisfield Lane.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted during a private party that was being held at the Civic Center earlier on 12-25-13.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 12-23-13, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tina Latasha Taylor, 31, of Princess Anne Maryland for violation of an exparte / protective order.  The arrest stemmed from a disturbance at 11796 Beechwood Street.  Taylor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a no bond.  Taylor was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 12-17-13, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Victor Paul Vass, 35, of Princess Anne Maryland for an outstanding District Court arrest warrant out of Wicomico County.  Vass was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 bond.  Vass was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.
