Blotter Report

On 3-29-15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Gary Rodman Press 2nd, 24, of Princess Anne Maryland for 1st degree assault.  The arrest stemmed from an assault investigation that occurred at 12110 Queens Grant Drive.  Press 2nd, was charged with assault 1st and 2nd degree, reckless endangerment, and disturbing the peace.  Press 2nd was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $50,000.00 bond.  Press 2nd was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 3-27-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12110 Queens Grant Drive in reference to an assault and malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that neighbors became involved in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation.  All parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 3-26-15, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report for a hit and run motor vehicle crash that occurred at the Princess Anne Library parking lot on 3-25-15.  Investigation revealed that as the victim was inside the library, the suspect collided into the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 3-23-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Metropolitan Church parking lot located on Beechwood Street in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that while the victim was in classes at UMES, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle while it was parking in the parking lot.  Incident remains under investigation.

Blotter Report

On 3-21-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Deal Island Road in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle had to stop on Route 13 near Deal Island Road when another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the stopped vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-20-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30725 Antioch Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) damaged a shed window between the dates of 3-19-15 and 3-20-15.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-20-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Talon’s Square South apartment complex in reference to an attempted burglary.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) attempted to enter an apartment through a bedroom window but fled when they discovered the victim was still in the apartment.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-18-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Linden Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was entering the median from south Route 13 at Route 13 at Linden Avenue it collided with another vehicle which was in the process of turning onto Route 13 from Linden Avenue.  The crash resulted in minor damage and minor injuries were reported.

On 3-17-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30435 Dahne Lane in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) had fired shots in the area causing damage to the victim’s garage.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-17-15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Ronald Wayne Monroe, 41, of Crisfield Maryland for leaving the scene of an accident without providing information.  The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle crash investigation at Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road where Monroe collided with another vehicle and left the scene without providing information.  Monroe was later located in the Crisfield area after a separate motor vehicle crash and was placed under arrest.  Monroe was issued several traffic citations for the hit and run crash along with driving on a suspended and revoked license.  Monroe was released from custody upon being issued his citations. 

On 3-16-15, the Princess Anne Police Department served an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant on Byron Matthew Allen, 32, of Princess Anne Maryland.  Allen was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Allen on an unsecure $1,000.00 bond.   


On 3-16-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Kash and Karry store located at 12020 Somerset Avenue in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that a customer was assaulted by one of the store employee’s earlier on 3-16-15.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

Blotter Report

On 3-14-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Community Store, located at 11404 Beckford Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspects became angry at the store clerk and upon being asked to leave the store; the suspects damaged the front door.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-13-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Print and Ship parking lot located at 12302 Somerset Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another vehicle that was traveling through the parking lot.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-11-15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Darian Leonard Lassiter, 27, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a disturbance located at 30106 Deanwood Road.  Lassiter was charged with two counts of assault second degree and was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $20,000.00 bond.  Lassiter was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 3-11-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Garland Hayward Youth Center parking lot located at 30660 Rosa Parks Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as an unoccupied school bus was backing in an attempt to turn around, it collided into a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-10-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a tractor trailer was stopped for a red traffic signal on Route 13, the driver’s foot slipped off of the clutch causing the tractor trailer to collide into the rear of a stopped vehicle.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

Blotter Report

On 3-8-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Valentine Drive in reference to an assault that occurred in the Oscars Americana Grill parking lot located at 12123 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted in the Oscars Americana Grill parking lot during the late evening hours of 3-8-15.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-6-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of UMES Blvd and Arden’s Run in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was traveling west on UMES Blvd when it ran over a patch of ice causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and ultimately striking another vehicle traveling east on UMES Blvd.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-3-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Goose Creek parking lot located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another vehicle which was traveling through the parking lot.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-2-15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30711 Antioch Avenue in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument started between two subjects that resulted in a physical altercation.  Both parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.


On 3-2-15, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of fraud from Pizza Hut, located at 30383 Mt. Vernon Road.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) had been using a stolen credit card to make purchases at the store.  Incident remains under investigation.

Blotter Report

On 2/28/15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Wilde Hare Restaurant located at 11724 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that an undisclosed amount of currency was stolen between the evening hours of 2/27/15 and morning hours of 2/28/15.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 2/26/15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dinah Marie Reall, 55, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from Reall was observed by officers attempting to drive a motor vehicle within 12 hours of her driving under the influence of alcohol arrest on 2/25/15.  Reall was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related offenses and released upon being issued her citations.

On 2/26/15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and UMES Boulevard in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was attempting to come to a stop it skidded on a patch of ice and collided with another vehicle.  The collision resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 2/25/15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dinah Marie Reall, 55, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a citizens complaint where Reall was observed driving in a manner that suggested she may have been impaired by alcohol.  Officers located Reall and observed traffic violations.  Reall was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related offenses.  Reall was released from custody upon being issued her citations.

On 2/25/15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Kenneth Owen Smith, 39, of Princess Anne Maryland on an outstanding District Court Arrest Warrant.  The warrant stemmed from a traffic case where Smith is charged with driving on highway without required license and driving a motor vehicle on a revoked license.  Smith was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $1,500.00 bond.  Smith was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 2/25/15, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect had used the victim’s credit card at several locations around the local area between the dates of 2/14/15 and 2/23/15.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 2/25/15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mt. Vernon Road and Route 13 in reference to a motor vehicle collision.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was stopped for a red traffic signal, another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the stopped vehicle.  The collision resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 2/23/15, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Talons Square South Apartment Complex in reference to a burglary after the fact.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 2/12/15 and 2/23/15, the suspect(s) entered the victim’s apartment and stole property.  Incident remains under investigation.

Blotter Report

On 11-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft from two vehicles.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole several items from the vehicles which were parked in the Somerset County Office Complex parking lot between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11: 50 p.m. on 11-9-14.  The incidents remain under investigation.

On 11-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft of a credit / debit card.  Investigation revealed that the suspect stole the card from the victim’s vehicle while the victim was providing the suspect transportation.  The suspect has been identified and charges are currently pending. 

On 11-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Kevin Darnell Stanford Sr., 49, of Middle River Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint of a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Mt. Vernon Road in the area of Carol Lane.  Stanford Sr. was found to be the operator of the vehicle and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.  Stanford Sr. was released from custody upon being issued his traffic citations.

On 11-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Allan Lamont Simms, 32, of Salisbury Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear from Wicomico County.  Simms was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $1,500.00 bond.  Simms was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 11-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Jerry Lemuel Adkins, 57, of Princess Anne Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Adkins was found to be the operator.  Adkins was released from custody after being issued his traffic citations.

On 11-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged William Ellis Christopher, 51, of Princess Anne Maryland with littering.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Christopher throwing trash on a sidewalk along Somerset Avenue.  Christopher was issued a criminal citation for littering and was released from the scene.

On 11-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Eurley Joseph Hodge, 24, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding parole re-take warrant.  Hodge was released into the custody of the Eastern Correctional Institution.
  
On 11-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30481 Pecan Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect damaged a tire on the victim's vehicle while at the Princess Anne Townhouses.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges. 

On 11-3-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested David Dewayne Jones, 58, of Marion Station Maryland for theft less than $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Jones on an unsecure $1,000.00 bond.

Blotter Report

On 10-25-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Michael Anthony Hasselberger, 22, of Glen Bernie Maryland with an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear in Baltimore City.  Hasselberger was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Hasselberger on personal recognizance. 

On 10-25-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling west on Mt. Vernon Road, it crossed Route 13 on a red traffic signal and collided with another vehicle traveling south on Route 13.  The two vehicles then collided with two vehicles which were stopped for the red traffic signal on Mt. Vernon Road.  One of the stopped vehicles was a marked Princess Anne Police Department police vehicle.  The collision caused significant damage and several injuries were reported. 

On 10-25-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Best Value Inn in reference to a theft from a vehicle that occurred at Spikes located at 30264 Mt. Vernon Road.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole property from a vehicle that was parked in the Spikes parking lot during the evening hours of 10-25-14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 10-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Brett Wayne Fratianni, 54, of Princess Anne Maryland with three outstanding District Court Bench Warrants for failure to appear.  Two of the bench warrants were out of Somerset County while the third one was out of Worcester County.  Fratianni was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued two $5,000.00 bonds for one of the cases in Somerset County and the case in Worcester County.  A $10,000.00 bond was also issued for the second case in Somerset County.  Fratianni was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 10-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Charles Randolph Johnson, 70, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance complaint at 12094 College Place.  Johnson was charged with assault second degree and seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $15,000.00 bond.  Johnson was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 10-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Margaret Ann Aye, 50, of Princess Anne Maryland for an outstanding warrant from Virginia.  Aye was charged on a fugitive warrant and seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued no bond.  Aye was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center pending extradition to the State of Virginia.

On 10-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as two vehicles were stopped on the north bound side of Route 13 prior to Mt. Vernon Road for stopped traffic, another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the two stopped vehicles.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 10-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Lisa Rose Richardson, 53, of Princess Anne Maryland and Robin Lyn Cox, 22, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrests stemmed from an assault investigation that occurred at 30411 Spruce Street.  Both Richardson and Cox were charged with assault second degree, obstructing and hindering, failure to obey a lawful and reasonable order, and disturbing the peace.  Both Cox and Richardson were seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a temporary commitment on Cox and issued an unsecure $5,000.00 bond on Richardson.  Cox was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

Blotter Report

On 10-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Anthony Lowell Horsey, 49, of Marion Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from an investigation at the Royal Farms Store parking lot located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road.  Horsey was released from custody upon being issued traffic citations.

On 10-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Obinna Uzoma Ilochonwu, 23, of Cheverly Maryland for trespassing.  The arrest stemmed from officers observing Ilochonwu in the Talons Square South apartment complex, located at 30515 UMES Boulevard, after being ordered not to return to the complex since Ilochonwu was not a registered guest.  Ilochonwu was released from custody after being issued a criminal citation for trespassing.

On 10-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged a 14 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for theft less than $100.00.   The charge stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General Store, located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  The case has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.

On 10-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Christopher Royston Brathwaite, 23, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court Arrest Warrant.  The warrant charged Brathwatie with two counts of assault second degree, reckless endangerment, and false imprisonment.  The case stemmed from an assault investigation at 30544 Pine Knoll Drive.  Brathwatie was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $30,000.00 bond.  Brathwatie was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 10-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Frank Lee Spence, 51, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding parole retake warrant.  Spence was released into the custody of the Eastern Correctional Institution.

On 10-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Brian Joseph Ward, 18, of Barclay Maryland for driving on a suspended driver’s license.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Ward was found to be the operator.  Ward was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and also with possession of marijuana under 10 grams on a civil citation.  Ward was released from custody upon being issued his citations.

On 10-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tenika Desire Clark, 22, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to two outstanding District Court Bench Warrants for failure to appear.  Clark was seen by a District Court Commissioner who releases Clark on personal recognizance. 

On 10-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Zarnab Tity Bangura, 20, of Princess Anne, Maryland for theft under $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at the Family Dollar Store located at 12175 Elm Street.  Bangura was released from custody after being issued a criminal citation for theft less than $100.00.

On 10-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Felix Buabeng, 38, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault first degree.  The arrest stemmed from an assault investigation that occurred at 11210 Old Princess Anne Road.  Buabeng was charged with assault 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, and reckless endangerment.  Buabeng was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $150,000.00 bond.  Buabeng was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 10-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served a District Court Criminal Summons on Barbara Osei Tutu, 23, of Princess Anne Maryland.  The criminal summons charged Tutu with assault 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, and reckless endangerment.  The criminal summons stemmed from an assault case that occurred at 11210 Old Princess Anne Road.

On 10-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12251 Anne’s Way in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument between two subjects turned into an assault.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 10-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Juwan Rasheed Jamison-Williams, 19, of Hagerstown Maryland with littering and possession of marijuana under 10 grams.  The charges stemmed from a traffic stop where Jamison-Williams was found to be a passenger.  Jamison-Williams was released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation for littering and a civil citation for possession of marijuana. 

On 10-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Josephine Marie Vinson, 62, of Eden Maryland for failure to obey a lawful order.  The arrest stemmed from a disturbance that occurred at the PNC Bank located at 30389 Mt. Vernon Road.  Vinson was released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation.

On 10-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 14 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for theft less than $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General Store, located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a parent and the case has been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.

On 10-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Basil Edward Fontaine Jr, 22, of Crisfield Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant.  Fontaine was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Fontaine on personal recognizance.

Blotter Report

On 10-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Seumas Uriel Custis, 33, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault 2nd degree.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance at 30696 Division Street.  Custis was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 unsecure bond.  Custis was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center due to outstanding warrants that were served by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

On 10-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Mascot Chiebuka Obua, 22, of Princess Anne Maryland for disorderly conduct.  The arrest stemmed from a large crowd complaint located at the Talons Square South apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Obua was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering an investigation, failure to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest.  Obua was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $5,000.00 unsecure bond. 

On 10-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Adric Dysheik Turner, 18, of Joppa Maryland with trespassing.  The charge stemmed from officers observing Turner in the Talons Square South apartment complex parking lot after being ordered to leave since he was not a registered guest.  Turner was released from custody upon being issued his citation.

On 10-1-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Go-Getters located at 11559 Somerset Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle that belonged to Go-Getters was damaged when several subjects became involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot.  The suspects were identified and the complainant was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-30-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Bedford Carroll Powel, 62, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant.  Powel was seen by a District Court Commissioner and was temporarily committed to the Somerset County Detention Center.  Powel was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 9-30-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the BB&T bank parking lot located at 12136 Elm Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was leaving the parking lot, it collided with another parked vehicle.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.
  
On 9-29-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Antioch Avenue in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by the suspect during an argument.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.
  
On 9-29-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12090 Somerset Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle was damaged on 9-28-14.  The suspect was identified and charges are pending.
  
On 9-28-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Omar Mohammad Muslimani, 54, of Princess Anne Maryland with failure to obey a lawful order.  The charges stemmed from Muslimani being observed on the property of Dollar General, located at 30371 Mt Vernon Road after been ordered to not be on the property.  Muslimani was issued a criminal citation for failure to obey a lawful order and was then released from custody.

On 9-27-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Tammy Sue Davis, 47, of Wenona Maryland with driving on a suspended license.  The charges stemmed from a traffic stop where Davis was found to be the operator of the vehicle.  Davis was released from custody upon being issued traffic citations.
  
On 9-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the TLC parking located at 12145 Elm Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another vehicle.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 9-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30188 Deal Island Road in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument turned into a physical assault between residents.  The victims were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.
  
On 9-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Goose Creek store parking lot located at 30293 Mt Vernon Road in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that the suspect struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked near the ice machines while the victim was inside the store.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 9-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Princess Anne Library located at 11767 Beechwood Street in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that as the victim was inside the library, the suspect(s) stole a bag off of the victim’s bicycle.  Incident remains under investigation.

Blotter Report

On 9-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30411 Spruce Street in reference to a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that two subjects were involved in an argument which turned into an assault.  Both parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12366 Somerset Avenue in reference to a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that a group of subjects were involved in an argument when an assault occurred.  All parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Kimberly Gale Grant, 54, of Amarillo, Texas with a Criminal Summons that charged Grant with assault 2nd degree and reckless endangerment.  The charges stemmed from an assault investigation that occurred earlier on 9-20-14 at 30491 Prince William Street. 

On 9-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested William Patrick King, 31, of Columbia Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a disturbance complaint on Somerset Avenue near the Manokin Park.  King was charged with two counts assault second degree, fail to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct.  King was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $200,000 bond.  King was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 9-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Woodland Warren James, 63, of Princess Anne, Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from James being stopped for having an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear.  A search incident to arrest revealed James was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  James was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $5,000.00 bond on the controlled dangerous substance charge and $10,000.00 on the outstanding warrant case.  James was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 9-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Christopher Lee Simpson, 25, of Princess Anne Maryland for an outstanding District Court Arrest Warrant.  Simpson was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $135.00 bond.  Simpson was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.
  
On 9-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mt. Vernon Road and Route 13 for a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was merging onto Mt. Vernon Road from Route 13 it collided with another vehicle that was traveling on Mt. Vernon Road.  The crash caused minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 9-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 30384 Daphne Lane.  Investigation revealed that property was stolen from the residence sometime between the dates of 9-14-14 and 9-19-14.  Incident remains under investigations.

On 9-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 12364 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that items were stolen from the residence sometime between 9-6-14 and 9-18-14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 9-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested John Samuel Nelson, 29, of no fixed address for armed robbery.  The incident stemmed from an armed robbery investigation that occurred earlier on 9-17-14 in an alley near 11793 Somerset Avenue.  Nelson was charged with two counts each of armed robbery, assault 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, reckless endangerment, theft less than $1,000.00, and one count of use of a firearm in a violent crime and having a handgun on person.  Nelson was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $200,000.00 bond.  Nelson was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 9-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Alison Renae Abbott, 35, of Deal Island, Maryland with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft complaint at the Family Dollar store located at 12175 Elm Street.  Abbot was released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation.

Blotter Report

On 9-14-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11790 Beechwood Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that the victim was slapped when a drink was spilled on the suspect.  Both parties were referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11689 Beechwood Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that two subjects were involved in an argument which escalated into a physical confrontation.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of UMES Boulevard and Route 13 in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was merging onto southbound Route 13 from UMES Boulevard, it struck another vehicle traveling south on Route 13.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 9-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Derrick Hightower Jr., 22, of Princess Anne Maryland and Douglas Jerome Moore, 24, of Princess Anne Maryland with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The charges stemmed from a traffic stop where Moore and Hightower Jr. were occupants of the stopped vehicle.  Both Moore and Hightower Jr. were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released from custody upon being issued criminal citations.

On 9-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as the driver exited a vehicle, the vehicle was left on and running which caused it to drift into the rear of another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 9-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Food Lion, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that a verbal argument between the victim and two suspects turned into a physical assault.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 9-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Monica Brenda Stephens, 35, of Salisbury Maryland with an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.   Stephens was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Stephens on personal recognizance.

On 9-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 9-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Alfreda Beulah Corbin, 52, of Princess Anne with an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.  Corbin was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Corbin on personal recognizance. 

On 9-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Food Lion, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect stole several groceries from the store and fled the scene prior to police arrival.  The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and approximately 165 pounds wearing a red hat, a v-neck style shirt, and blue jeans.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 9-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Somerset Avenue and Waters street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was attempting to merge onto Somerset Avenue near Waters Street, it collided with another vehicle that was traveling on Somerset Avenue.  The crash resulted in minor damage and minor injuries were reported.

Press Releases


·         On 8-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served an outstanding District Court arrest warrant on Edward Patrick Williams Jr., 32, of Princess Anne Maryland.   The warrant was issued from a first degree assault investigation that occurred earlier on      8-24-14 where a security officer was assaulted in the Talons Square South apartment complex located at 30515 UMES Blvd.  The warrant charged Williams Jr. with assault 1st and 2nd degree, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and affray.  The security officer was transported to PRMC was placed in the intensive care unit.  Williams Jr. was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $200,000 bond.  Williams Jr. was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

·         On 8-24-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Adilberto Lovaton Hernandez, 34, of Crisfield Maryland for child abuse second degree and assault 2nd degree.  The arrest stemmed from a fight complaint at the Somerset County Civic Center, located at 11828 Crisfield Lane.  Hernandez was charged with child abuse 2nd degree and four counts of assault 2nd degree.  Hernandez was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $75,000.00 bond.  Hernandez was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

·         On 8-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Keondre Devon Perkins, 19, of Princess Anne Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Perkins was found to be the operator.  Perkins was charged with traffic violations, possession of a controlled dangerous substance-not marijuana, and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.   Perkins was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $5,000.00 unsecure bond.

Press Releases

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Woodland Warren James, 63, of Quantico Maryland for burglary 4th degree.  The arrest stemmed from a burglary investigation at 11502 Beckford Avenue.  James was charged with burglary 4th degree and seen by a District Court Commissioner who released James on personal recognizance. 

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle pulling a camping trailer was stopped on Route 13 near Mt. Vernon Road for stopped traffic; another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the camping trailer.  The crash caused significant damage and minor injuries were reported.

On 8-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12089 College Place in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the late evening hours of 8-16-14 and the early morning hours of 8-17-14, the suspect(s) stole two bicycles that were in the front yard area.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-16-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred at 30431 Spruce Street.  Investigation revealed that an argument between two subjects turned into an assault.  Both parties were identified and referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 8-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Logan Lee Snyder, 35, of Princess Anne Maryland with being involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  The charges stemmed from a pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred on 8-12-14 in the area of 11887 Somerset Avenue.  Snyder was issued several traffic citations in regards to the incident and was released from custody upon being issued the citations. 

On 8-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11491 Beckford Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 8-12-14 and   8-13-14, the suspect(s) stole a push lawnmower from the property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Andre Demetris Dennis, 39, of Princess Anne Maryland with trespassing, solicitation, and failure to obey a lawful order.  The charges stemmed from a panhandling complaint at the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road.  Dennis was released from custody upon being issued criminal citations.

On 8-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Trevon Isaiah Darden, 17, of Princess Anne Maryland and Dewayne Larnell Horsey, 16, of Salisbury Maryland for armed robbery.  The arrests stemmed from an armed robbery investigation at the Price Cutters store located at 11714 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that Darden and Horsey used a knife in the robbery and were able leave the store with an undisclosed amount of currency and products.  The store did not have any customers at the time of the robbery and the store clerk received minor injuries during the robbery.  Both Darden and Horsey were charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault 1st and 2nd degree, and theft less than $1,000.00.  Darden and Horsey were charged as adults and were seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued $50,000.00 bond on both subjects.  Darden and Horsey were released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.  

On 8-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Malinda Sue Griffith, 27, of Glen Burnie Maryland with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The charge stemmed from an incident that occurred at the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road.  Griffith was released from custody upon being issued a criminal citation.

On 8-9-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11508 Beckford Avenue in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the evening hours of 8-8-14 and early morning hours of 8-9-14, the suspect(s) removed the victim’s wallet from a parked and unlocked vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 8-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Londale Richard Anderson, 23, of Delmar Maryland with disorderly conduct.  The charge stemmed from a large party complaint in the Talons Square South apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Anderson was released upon being issued a criminal citation. 

On 8-7-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Office Complex, located at 11916 Somerset Avenue in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as the suspect was leaving the front parking lot; it collided with a parked vehicle.  The suspect has been identified and the incident remains under investigation.

On 8-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department served Robert Lee Taylor, 53, of Princess Anne with two District Court Bench Warrants.  Taylor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Taylor on personal recognizance.

On 8-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Route 13 and Mt. Vernon Road for a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was traveling south on Route 13 near Mt. Vernon Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided into a ditch on the north bound side of Route 13.  The crash resulted in significant damage and minor injuries were reported.  The driver of the vehicle, Amy Christine Waidner, 43, of Eden Maryland was found to be driving on a suspended license was issued a traffic citation.
 

On 8-5-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Seton Center, located at 30632 Hampden Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was backing in the parking lot area, it collided with another vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 8-4-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot and was unattended when the suspect collided into the victim’s vehicle.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 8-1-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Andre Demetris Dennis, 39, of Princess Anne Maryland for trespassing and failure to obey a lawful order.  The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred at the Royal Farms Store located at 30452 Mt. On 7/28/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred at 30733 Antioch Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by a known acquaintance during an argument.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 7/27/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Dollar General Store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that two subjects became involved in an argument over an incident that occurred a few days earlier which turned into one of the subjects being assaulted.  The incident remains under investigation.  

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tyasia Deschelle Tyre, 18, of Berlin Maryland and a 17 year old juvenile of Pocomoke Maryland for assault 2nd degree.  The arrests stemmed from assisting UMES Police Department with a large crowd on campus.  Tyre and the juvenile were observed being involved in a fight and they were charged with assault 2nd degree, disorderly conduct, and affray.   Tyre was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued an unsecured $10,000.00 bond.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian. 

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the University Park Apartments located on Wink Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space it collided with another vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30565 Pine Knoll Drive in reference to a burglary.  Investigation revealed that three juveniles were seen inside the vacant apartment.  The juveniles were located and identified.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/25/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Beechwood Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by three suspects.  The suspects were later located and identified.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 7/23/14 the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of a burglary / theft at an apartment located in the Princess Anne Townhouses on Pine Knoll Drive.  Investigation revealed that sometime between the early evening hours of 7/20/14, the suspect(s) entered the apartment and stole property from the apartment.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/23/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 11635 Beechwood Street.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole the victim’s bicycle sometime during the late evening hours of 7/18/14 and early morning hours of 7/19/14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/22/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30521 William P. PAPD Press Releases:
On 7/20/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 14 year old juvenile, of Salisbury Maryland for theft less than $100.00.  The arrest stemmed from a shoplifting complaint at Dollar General which is located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian.

On 7/19/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mccormick Swamp Road at Park Drive in reference to reports of shots fired.  Officers were able to recover evidence that indicated the suspect(s) did fire shots in the area.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/19/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Antioch Avenue Extended in reference to a report of a fight.  Investigation revealed that an assault had occurred and the officers were able to locate and interview the parties involved.  The victim in the matter was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.


On 7/18/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset Commons Apartment Complex located on Somerset Avenue in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 7/11/14 and 7/17/14, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the apartment complex.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/18/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tina Latasha Taylor, 31, of Princess Anne Maryland for violation of an ex-parte / protection order.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance at 11796 Beechwood Street.  Taylor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who was held on $5,000.00 bond.  Taylor was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.




On 7/17/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11632 Foxwell Lane in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 7/16/14 and 7/17/14, the suspect(s) stole a bicycle from the victim’s property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/17/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Mateesha Esdella Jones, 32, of Princess Anne Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant.  Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Jones on an unsecured $1,500.00 bond.

On 7/16/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Dollar General Store located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that the suspect removed property from the store and left without paying for the property.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/14/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Dennis Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) had caused damage to the curbing along Dennis Drive.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/13/14 the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Rashi Ammond Washington, 42, of Salisbury Maryland for driving on a suspended license.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Washington was found to be the operator.  Washington was issued traffic citations and released from custody.

On 7/11/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Shawn Tony Tilghman, 20, of Crisfield Maryland and a 14 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from an investigation in the area of Pine Street.  Tilghman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of alcohol under the age of 21.  Tilghman was released from custody after being issued citations.  The 14 year old juvenile was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  The juvenile was released into the custody of a guardian.

On 7/11/14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Alexander Dettmer Kremer, 19, of Princess Anne Maryland, Kyle Shaw Simpkins, 19, of Princess Anne Maryland, a 16 year old juvenile of Westover Maryland, and 16 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland, and a 16 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland with possession of alcohol being under the age of 21.  The charges stemmed from an investigation near 12034 Somerset Avenue.  Kremer and Simpkins were released from custody upon being issued citations.  The two 16 year old juveniles were released into the custody of their guardians. 

On 7/10/14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Zoe Lee Benton, 24, of Chance Maryland with driving on a suspended driver’s license.  The charges stemmed from a single vehicle crash investigation that occurred in the area of Somerset Avenue and Harvey Russell Road.  Benton was released from custody upon being issued her citations.

On 7/10/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tyrell Ketrae Harris, 18, of Princess Anne Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance at 11601 Rutgers Street.  Harris was charged with second degree assault and was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 unsecure bond. 

On 7/8/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested a 13 year old juvenile of Princess Anne Maryland for burglary and trespassing.  The arrest stemmed from a burglary investigation at 30551 Pine Knoll Drive.  The juvenile was charged with burglary 4th degree and trespassing and was released into the custody of a guardian.

On 7/4/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Dashon Kyree Drummond, 22, of Berlin Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Drummond was found to be the operator.  Drummond was issued several traffic citations including driving under the influence of alcohol and was also issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. 

On 7/5/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Somerset County Civic Center, located at 11828 Crisfield Lane in reference to a disturbance.  Investigation revealed that a fight had occurred during a birthday party that was occurring at the Civic Center.  Officers also located evidence that gun shots were fired during the fight.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/4/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Darrin Trimell Gibbs, 18, of Berlin Maryland for an outstanding warrant out of the State of Delaware.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Gibbs was found to be a passenger.  Gibbs was charged on a fugitive warrant and seen by a District Court Commissioner who committed Gibbs on no bond.  Gibbs was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of theft that occurred at 12062 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole property from the residence between 6/24/14 and 7/2/14.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Food Lion parking lot, located at 12158 Brittingham Lane in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling in the parking lot, it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Somerset Avenue and Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was stopped on Somerset Avenue for the construction work zone, another vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear of the stopped vehicle.  The crash resulted in no damage and no injuries were reported. 

On 7/3/14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of a theft that occurred at the Royal Farms Store located on Mt. Vernon Road.  Investigation revealed that the victim had lost his wallet earlier in the day and the suspect(s) used a credit card belonging to the victim at the Royal Farms store.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/2/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11743 Somerset Avenue in reference to a theft of a bicycle.  Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) stole a pink in color 24” girl’s mountain bicycle from the victim’s property.  The incident remains under investigation.

On 7/1/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Community Store parking lot, located at 11404 Beckford Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a garbage disposal truck was backing, it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 6/30/14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Stevie Lamont Jackson, 47, of Salisbury Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Jackson was found to be the operator.  Jackson was charged with traffic violations including driving under the influence of alcohol along with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault second degree, failure to obey a lawful order, and malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00.  Jackson was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $7,500.00 bond.  Jackson was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.


On 6/30/14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Route 13 in the area of Linden Avenue in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed as a vehicle was traveling on Route 13, the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran into the grass median causing the vehicle to overturn.  The crash resulted in significant damage and several injuries were reported.  The crash remains under investigation.

Press Releases


On 3-23-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Talons Square South apartment complex located at 30515 UMES Boulevard in reference to a burglary after the fact.  Investigation revealed that between the dates of 3-14-14 and 3-23-14, the suspect(s) entered an apartment and stole various items from one of the bedrooms.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Royal Farms store located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a subject who was threatening persons with a knife.  Investigation revealed that the suspect did threaten other customers harm with a knife and two knives were located on the suspect’s person.  The suspect was transported to PRMC on an emergency petition and released into PRMC’s custody.  Charges are pending on the suspect at this time.

On 3-22-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30677 Antioch Avenue Extended in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument between girlfriend and boyfriend turned into a physical altercation.  One party had left the scene prior to police arrival and the incident remains under investigation.

On 3-21-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report in reference to fraud.  Investigation revealed that the victim had discovered that the suspect(s) had used her social security number and filed several tax returns that were not the victims.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Rachel Abigail Cornell, 29, of Princess Anne Maryland with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft complaint at the Rite Aid store located at 12154 Brittingham Lane.  Cornell was released from the scene upon signing for her criminal citation.

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of College Place and Valentine Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a school bus was backing it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash caused minor damage to the parked vehicle and no injuries were reported. 

On 3-20-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of Mt. Vernon Road in front of Dollar General in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling along Mt. Vernon Road, the driver became distracted and ran off the roadway and into a ditch.  The crash resulted in no damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-19-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the TLC Medical Center parking lot, located at 12145 Elm Street in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space it collided with a parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.   

On 3-18-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30441 Oak Street in reference to an assault.  Investigation revealed that an argument between two subjects turned into an assault.  The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioners Office for charges.

On 3-17-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 13 and UMES Boulevard in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was traveling north on Route 13 at UMES Boulevard it had to pass a stopped vehicle on the left side and as it passed the stopped vehicle, the stopped vehicle turned into the passing vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-15-14, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Donald Eugene Moore Jr., 54, of Princess Anne Maryland with consuming alcohol in public.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Moore Jr. consuming an alcoholic beverage on Somerset Avenue near William P. Hytche Boulevard.  Moore Jr. was released from the scene upon signing for his criminal citation.

On 3-13-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the North Somerset Laundromat, located at 12093 Somerset Avenue.  Investigation revealed that the victim had left his clothes unattended for a period of time and during that time the suspect(s) stole two pairs of pants.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30424 Plantation Drive in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) damaged a window to the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 30436 Plantation Drive in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-12-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 11691 Beechwood Street in reference to a theft from motor vehicle.  Investigation revealed that during the evening hours of 3-11-14 and early morning hours of 3-12-14, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle and stole items from the vehicle.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-11-14, the Princess Anne Police Department took a report of malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that as the victim was traveling on Beechwood Street in the area of Washington Street, the suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle by throwing a rock at the vehicle.  The incident remains under investigation.

Press Releases


On 3-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Andre Lashawn Andrews, 31, of Salisbury Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint of an intoxicated driver in the area of Somerset Avenue and William P. Hytche Boulevard.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle and identified Andrews as the operator.  Andrews was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related citations.  Andrews was released from custody upon signing for his citations.

On 3-10-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to Goose Creek, located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a theft.  Investigation revealed that as the suspects were inside the store, they were observed removing various items from the store without paying for them.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Tavares Obrien Dennis, 20, of Princess Anne Maryland in regards to an outstanding arrest warrant from the State of Delaware.  Dennis was charged on a fugitive warrant and seen by a District Court Commissioner who held Dennis on no bond.   Dennis was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center. 

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the Goose Creek parking lot located at 30293 Mt. Vernon Road in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that as a vehicle was backing out of a parking space, it collided with another parked vehicle.  The crash resulted in minor damage and no injuries were reported.

On 3-8-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to the area of 11675 Beechwood Street in reference to a fight in progress.  Investigation revealed that several juveniles were involved in an altercation with an adult male.  Incident remains under investigation.

On 3-6-14, the Princess Anne Police Department responded to 12178 Queens Grant Drive in reference to malicious destruction of property.  Investigation revealed that between the evening hours of 2-28-14 and the evening hours of 3-3-14, the suspect(s) had damaged the victim’s vehicle that was parked near 12178 Queens Grant Drive.  Incident remains under investigation.
